Time Magazine did their Coolest Invention of the Year superlative and guess who won. None other than Steve Jobs love child with the RIAA, iTunes.

before i get flamed for this, let me explain my reasoning. why did apple port iTunes to windows? oh, because those poor poor windows users didnt have a good program to use for music managing! i hope you dont think that was the reason.....
no, the reason was because apple wants and needs more money. now they are starting to feel satisfied because they have 30% of the of the mp3 player market and have smashed pretty much all competition with the music store, one of their objectives when porting to windows. ever seen pirates of the silicone valley? well if you havent, ill tell you how apple got started. they bought an operating system from a person living in albequerque, new mexico (where i was born!) and built their first OS on it. ON IT. basically, they started out being pirates and are still pirates (OSX is UNIX based, remember?) ahhh well. at least its a very good operating system....they have come up with many original ideas too, with the dock and all that stuff. mr jobs does have some creativity in him and he isnt too much of a corporate bastard as far as i can tell.
Apple needs more money? Wrong. Apple makes NO money off of the Music Store.

Exactly! Apple is probably building a "good relationship" with thte hundreds of artists that use macs to get they're music going!
