Dragging/scaling

if you "drag" the task seperator up/down, the dock scales bigger/smaller. anyone else's doing this? if so, is there a way to turn it off?

#76831

its supposed to

#76834

thank you. but back to my OP, does anyone know a way to turn it off

#76839

no

and why wouldn`t u?

that`s how it`s done in the OS X dock and there r very slim chances to do that by mistake

OD 1.0 RC1

I LOVE IT

it's a nice feature yeah but it's a bit annoying when you try to remove a separator (i saw this funtion when i tried :P)

mayb it would be nice to have a different cursor (resizer) when you are in a part of the dock that would change the size on drag (no especialy like MacOSX dock)

i thik to copy the macOsx dock is good but maybe we can IMPROVE it :rule: :rule: :rule:

hehe :woot: :woot:

unbeliever, maybe it is like that on the osx dock, but this isnt the osx dock, and according to the dev, its taking "a different direction" so it shouldnt be exactly like it. maybe there is a way to turn it off, Im gonna dig through the ini's today.

the purpose of the original docks was to emulate the OS X dock so they took most of it`s features (where dragging to resize the dock was one of those taken). And i don`t know how r u managing to resize the dock by dragging the separator, i`m trying to now and i CAN`T do it! The only way to resize it is to drag the left or right edge of the dock background (i`ve tried with lock dragging on and off to resize it by dragging the separator and i couldn`t do it)

Erm, if you're trying to remove the seperator. You could always just right click on it, and select "remove this seperator"

#77267

hehe Unbeliever :P

i think in fact when i tried to remove the separator i clicked in the area that resize (on top border)... that's why i thought the resizing area was on the separators but i've just tried and it doesn't resize when you clic in the middle of the separator

maybe i's because i've set a little size for the dock (24px) and the area are very close

:shy: :shy:

OK. apparently my question isnt being read right, I didnt ask, "how can I make my dock LESS osx like" I could care less if OSX does this or that, this isnt an osx forum, this is objectdock's, and I have an objectdock question. as far as I can remember, .95 didnt do this scaling/dragging thing, so this new one does, is there a way to disable it.

#77482

no.

lol it's a bit short but :P

no in fact this draging option is not very usefull i know but it doesn't really mater cause if you don't take care of it, it's like you don't know it is available :P i mean do you often drag your icons and "oups in fact i was in the resizing area"??? i guess no so...

hihi

hey Unbeliever you're french no??? parceke moi chui un frenchee aussi :P

Well if u`ve been following the development of OD u`d knew that resizing the dock was there since 0.86 (i think) and OD IS an emulation od OSX dock wheter u like it or not! And as i said u CAN`t resize the dock by draggng the separator, just by dragging the left or right border of the dock (and u hv to be very precise about that). So the answer is NO! And as kerin said how often u drag ur icons off the dock?

@ kerin - nope, i`m not french :D Serbian (Y)

yeh, Im perty sure this is scaling by dragging the seperator. but if you say it isnt then I must be wrong, and you, are never wrong. puh-leez. :banging:

#77797

well if u say so but i tried on 2 different computers and i couldn`t get OD to resize by dragging the separator.
