i find it quite useful at times.. i have it off at the moment but i got used to it for a long time.. the fact that drove me to removve it was the lack of support in some skins like PPro...

Anyway... Im glad i could help...

Anytime..

Have you checked out the fact that you can drag & drop files to the folders that appear on the "other places" section in the common tasks bar (obviously not to network places or my computer)? (Y)

Really? Now that's a useful feature...

If only the sidebar could be skinnable... or at least not so damned ugly...

eh? just hack shellstyle.dll to change it up. it'll have the same basic look, but at least you can change skins and styles.

And that's the exact main problem. I would use it if I could make it VERY narrow. Like 30px narrow, enough for some small icons to fit.

you could try some tricks, though, like adding extra transparencies here and there, and creating a whole new look.

I'm still a real ****ie when it comes to Modding and Hacking my OS... :(

well, just give it a shot. i didn't know much until i actually tried doing it. i'm sure if you try it, you can come up with some cool looking styles. :)

it's easy to mod themes. just extract images and play with them in photoshop. the same should be true for shellstyle.dll. just add some magic pink or different images and see how it goes.

reshacker is an awesome tool.
