Aqua-Soft ForumsDoes anyone know how to make the button fonts bold? I was recently looking at some os x screenshots and noticed how much nicer the buttons looked. I looked for something that was different between the windowblinded buttons (using osxp ng), and the lucious mac buttons. There was a huge difference obviously, but one of the main differences I saw that really stood out was the font within the button. It was very bold and stands out, whereas the windows buttons have a font that does not stand out at all. Is there any way to make the font bold? That would dramarically improve the look of the buttons, and make them much more closer to the os x look and feel.
Bold Font In Buttons?
Ya thanks Judge, I figured that out already. Guess I shouldnt have posted without trying myself first. I changed it to lucidia grande and it actually looks good. I just brought the size down a notch and most buttons fit perfectly. By that way I have been trying to fix up your skin a bit in skinstudio. Although I still cant get many, I have fixed a few of the things on my list. I still cant get the scroll bar to not lighten its color when it is pressed. I tried editing the .tga image but it didnt show that the pressed scrollbar was lightened when I viewed it. Its really consfusing. I could really use some help with this skinstudio stuff. I also tried getting rid of the blue button rollover on the toolbar, and I ended up screwing the entire skin up. I dont know how. All I did was make the .tga file blank. I thought that would fix it, but all it did was screw it up majorly. Wish me good luck trying to complete the rest of my fixes. 
well, there are many versions of lucida grande floating around. I believe I have the best one. It was converted by some Brazillian dude, and its the smoothest and most accurate yet. So, since all the fonts are different, you'll have to edit the skin in Skinstudio/Stylebuilder and see which font size/style combo works best..

You might already have it, and not know of the differences - but this is the best. Also, Roberto's type1 fint is the best (least UGLY)..
I've been using that font all along for everything. When I first got into this I first found Iceman's site, actually. His site then directed me here. But first I found a bunch of stuff on his site, like that lucidia grande font. I did what you said and replaced the original lucidia grande font with this one, and I have been using it since. 
Oh, looks like I do have them. I thought maybe Taha was mentioning yet another font set that is better.
