[question]g5, Built To Last Or Built For Power?

I was at school today, and one of my friends said that shoving all those great pieces of hardware into a box is all well and good but within a few days they won't be working at optimum power and some pieces might burn out.

Is my friend right, because he does know alot about computers, or does he just think he's right?

Thank you for all the feedback and awnsers to this very important question that I get.

Your friend thinks he's right. You computer should always work the same, unless you make changes to the hardware or add tons and tons of utilities on it that the computer will have to wait on them. Everything that is destined to die or not work will break right way (with in a few days). Everthing else should stay until the end of it's day when you get a new computer.

what is he taling about they might burn out in a few days...

Unless the products come of the asembly line with 90% flaws they should last at least 3 years. Infact the speed might actualy increase as the parts becomre 'worn in', transistors getting impuritys out of the doping material, Fans getting in their grove, and physical conections between compnonents becoming fused together. The increase probaly wont be notisable. No offence, but your freinds an idiot.
