What would this script do?
List online buddies, email, your status online, connection. It would be nice to actually use some of the "away state" icons i see out there too with a script like this.
Is anyone itnerested in something like this aside from me?
It sounds pointless to me, but maybe I am not understanding. I think of myself as a minimalist, I like my desktop emtpy, no taskbar, no visible dock, everything autohides.

I'm someone who appreciates the usability of my computer. If i had my buddys on my desktop i could easily see from a distance whos on and whos not, if i have email, what my status is, and things like that. Considering trillian is the one program i use most on my computer i figure its worth it. My computer is my life, i work on it, i communicate through it, and i play on it. Ive invested a lot of money into my computer to make my life easier. A plugin like this would definately help make my machine even more useful.
Why not just leave the messenger window open and on top?
Because I run at high resolutions and unfortunately i cant see my contacts from 5 feet away from the computer or walking by at home. For the same reason people make scripts for winamp, i dont want the window taking up space. With a script like this i can make the information as large or as small as i want and put it anywhere.
Think about it. I could have a window open for all the information i use samurize for but what a waste of screen space. And you say youre a minimalist, samurize is to keep your desktop organized so things dont waste space. My samurize desktop is very unobtrusive and it doesnt draw attention or waste space. Transparency is good.
