There's some useful links to found using the SEARCH feature. But I guess you already did that
. I'll save you the trouble - I found some helpful links here
I assume you've tryed Stuffit Expander (link seems to be down)
or IconShop
I'm not sure wether you can extract certain mac file formats with any known windows software yet. Guess you could ask someone with a mac willing to extract them for you
.
Sorry if I havn't been any help :shy:.
p.s. your English isn't bad, but it isn't good either
.
I assume it's .sit.hqx? If it is so, rename it to .sit, then open with Stuffit. In my experience, it doesn't work every time. If it works, you'll extract it like any .sit with the "error" popping out. If it doesn't work, you'll have a blank file, nothing in the .sit.
i have a .zip-binhex.hqx that contains nothing when i extract it
help?
renaming to .zip, .hqx, .sit doesnt work
If you have IconWorkshop, there is an excellent tutorial in the help section. Just do a keyword search for 'Mac' or 'Apple' and the tutorial will show you, step by step, in photographs, how to correctly configure Stuffit Expander for handling Mac compression formats. It is super-easy. Good luck!!
thanks i found IW's tutorial
they are using an older version of stuffit, i have version 8, so
there is no "cross platform" option
so it still doent work
:banging:
Keith - Try extracting each icon individually and leave the"_icon" file alone. That file is causing problems with the new StuffIt; otherwise it does work on sit/hqx compressed files (I don't know about bin-hex files though). If that doesn't work you may have to try tracking down an older StuffIt version. A P2P application will probably still have a StuffIt 7.5.
If all else fails I have a mac and would be willing to expand it and send it to you in .zip format ![]()
Thanks everyone !! ![]()
Holy crap. I just thought I'd come 'round and check up on this thread, and boom, a whole nother version of Stuffit is here! Wow, CaRrIcK, talk about troubleshooting. ![]()
