Weather Docklet
any one???
Because of weather.com is changing their structure, you will have problems. There have been numerous thread about this.
I don't know if any new docklets are out there, but there is Samurize. It's like a program that adds little programs to your desktop. I does have a learning curve however. There's a section here, and look for the XML Weather Docklet. That works fine right now.
The XML Weather docklet by Judge works great for me. ![]()
I have a question. There is a weather app in the systray of this screenshot but I can't find out what it is. Does anybody know? I'd greatly appreciate any help you can give.

Just search the forums and you'll find information about it.
Yeah... If only the XML Weather Docklet was for YZ DOCK not OBJECTDOCK... kinda defeats the purpose if it doesnt work for YZ in the YZ forum... or am I missing something here? Does his OD Docklet work in YZ? Is that what I am failing to understand? someone help me out here...

You're right I was talking about ObjectDock, not Y'z dock. I mean to me there are only two docks that exist right now - ObjectDock and ModyDock. To me Y'z is dead so I just assumed the question was about ObjectDock without looking at where this thead was located.
Hmm.. Yzdock is still the best dock to me. Still using it and working like a charm.
had same problem cuz i'm in ottawa but i just changed the site to UK and it works in english :moon:
does yours say your location??
mine now works in english but instead of toronto it says weather.com
mxp - this is due to weather.com changing their html code frequently and is becoming an annoying pain. Unless you use Samurize or can wait for the next release from albeik (which is unlikely to be any time soon
) you'll have to manually edit the weather.ini file and remove the location string - $l; and replace with Toronto. You wont notice the difference so long as you don't change the location URL to something else.
An inelegant and temporary soultion I know
.
When the new XML version comes out it should be vastly faster updating and shouldn't be as problematic.
With any luck in-time for x-mas.
Direct quote from Y'z Docklets
Hi Everyone,I am going to be off yzdocklets.com till the 25th and from the 1st till the 19th of December. Apologize for this, I have been really busy with college. I won't be able to reply yo any emails regarding docklets.
Weather Docklet
People having problems running the docklet or getting an 'invalid unit from site' error will not be able to fix this error until I release a new recoded XML version of the weather docklet. Weather.com changed their site layout to prevent anyone from getting the information using current techniques. This can be fixed by coding an XML version which Weather.com supports. At the moment, I don't have the time to program such a docklet until the end of December. Sorry for the delay!
Thanks for your support,
I will be back.
