I was taking a look at some screenshots of OSX Panther (since i figure thats the best way to emulate the look) and i came across this screenshot
and i noticed how the sidebar was looking and how the highlighted text was 3d shaped and stuff, and i was wondering is there anyway to mod the explorer window to look like that or is there an app thats just like that can replace the use of the explorer window?
I have ResHacker already but dont really know what dll's and stuff work with what.

its not a modded explorer, and you cant modify any files when youre using it, but its a finder!
Thanx but i tried that finder already and everytime i try to download it it says header corrupt or cannot be opened, when i try to open or extract it. I used WinRar and Winace, so i figure its not my system. and i can open or extract other files so i dont think its the winrar or winace progams either.
I also have the same problem with IEX, Felix 7, brushed felix and some other downloads from that site. i dont know if its me or the site.
dp2kthree, I am sure that you could modify explorer.exe to look like that but I am not sure whether the look is hard coded, the closest things that we have to that look on Windows are alilm's finder: Felix and another finder not made by alilm: Falcon.
The problem is that even though we could modify Explorer.exe it might take modifying more .dll files and the look might even be hardcoded (but that never stopped anyone willing enough) anyway if you wanted to modify it you would have to take resources from iTunes (for windows), Quicktime (for windows), alilm's finder: Felix, the other finder: Falcon and possibly panther itself.
There was talk at one time of doing this but it never took off and I don't know why.
It may have been about time, it may have been hard to implement some of the features, but nothing and I mean NOTHING is Impossible, just a finite improbably.

i thought about all that but i just thought of a simple solution of creating a program similar to felix and falcon but made it so that it looked like the screenshot i posted b4. and then use that somehow to replace, ( and when i mean replace i mean just make it so the seetings will use the app instead of opening windows explorer, and not delete or alter windows explorer; although that would be great too) and then there yah go...another OSX emulation piece solved.
also if i had any programming language capabilities at all i would write it myself. but i dont. Until this App is someday made could anyone point me to the direction of where Felix, and/or Falcon is hosted, other than www.dotwac.com. i tried all possible ways of getting thoes downloads to work but they dont. i think the files are corrupted on the host computer. If not then can someone send an email with a file attachment of Felix/Falcon or atleast a link to it?

What did you mean?? So far I haven't received any complaint that the files downloaded from my site is corrupt or cannot be open. Could you please clarify it so it is easier for me to fix it if anything is wrong.
