docklet for OD that is not a VBS script, KKmenu, NuViu app ?
[question] Is There A Start Menu [req]
Don't know if this might help, but it is what I use to bring up the Start Menu,,,Press Start http://www.tsoftcentral.com/tools/ ,hope it helps.
This is a nifty lil program, but from what i gather from seeing posts on this, ppl, including myself, are looking for the start menu to apear over the icon clicked. I have my start menu on the top of the screen and the dock at the bottom. This prog is just as if i hit the 'windows' key on the keyboard.
Thanks for the info tho :moon:
Dig.
Is there an .exe for the show desktop command? I'd love to use the command directly in ObjectDock but it doesn't support it.
I'm using "presstart" now to get my menu but I want it of-course to appear above the png when it's clicked and not on the side, also to have some control on it's "skin" instead of the lousy colors of windows... anyone ?
johnny5w - download the file attached to this post (right click -> save as) and put it in your OD folder. Drag the file to OD to create a shortcut, and voila.
@ Liron i have not had any success with your suggestion - even though it sure seems like it should work. >.
mep - It should, it's the standard windows "show desktop" shortcut which is originally in all of your quicklaunch menus when you fist installed windows. Works like a charm over here.
yea, i have in the quick launch too. It works when it's not on the dock, but when it is, it just does the 'typical' dock animation (i.e glow, bounce, etc..) that's it.
dunno.
Yeah same thing here. I actually got it to work once, but now it just doesn't work at all. Maybe some configuration problem. Oh well. Thanks for the help though Liron!
johnny5w, mep - I'm hoping this doesn't have anything to do with objectdock. I'm a YZdock user and it works fine for me, so I really can't say. You might want to poke around a few winXP tweaking sites and get some information on how to create this type of shortcut (view the file I uploaded in notepad and you'll see it's a script). Although I don't think creating a "show desktop" docklet should be too hard for those who know how to make 'em, so perhaps you could contact some of the docklet authors we have 'round here and inquire.
Hope it gets figured out :shy:
I belive it's od >.
mep - if you can run the file and have it work normally, and then place it in OD and it doesn't work, OD may very well be the culprit. Although I can't for the life of me, figure out WHY. If this is the case, I'm afraid the only option is to code a docklet.
