Slate (longhorn Theme) I Have The Resources For It

I would really like to have the Slate look from longhorn

http://www.mmr85.hpg.ig.com.br/images/long...51/aquasoft.JPG

I have the slate.msstyle, however XP wont open, nor stylebuilder. Reshacker did opened it, maybe someone can make the syle if he extracts the images. I can provide screensthos to base on.

If some thinks that can, let me know to send the file.

Microsoft has done it again...

they completely re-wrote the skinning format, for LongHorn.

all the images are now PNG, and there are quite a few other types of images, that are called Blobs, these are also PNG.

also the favorites, back & forward buttons are skinned within the MSStyle file.

and, now.. .(to be more like OSX)

the buttons fade in and out. :)

hmm... I just had an idea: will it be possible to have animated png's in skins? I talked with a friend about longhorn and I mentioned that it will use png's and he remarked that there are animated png's around. this is how I came up on this.

I'm dreaming right now of an Internet Explorer window which is skinned with animated elements, the background of the toolbar is blue, like water with wave textures and so the whole toolbar seems to be a water surface... coooool.... :woot: the window titlebar has moving elements, like those litte quads microsoft used in early builds of whistler (example), just not still but moving around... aaahh... I'm so excited!

mmm, transparency.

makes all those fancy movie setups more possible. I want transparency seperate for every single goddam component. no mutual dependencies. Then the dark themes will start flowing. :canadian:

schaggo,

Thare are indeed animated PNG's but the are with the MNG extension, which not may programs seem to support as of yet. MNG's are a new format of PNG that support transparency and alpha blending. I think that in order to use animated PNG images that are being used with Dock programs, which are a series of different images in a row, or frames, you would need a script to tell the program to display these frames in order, but I might be wrong. The idea would be awesome tho, and who knows, maybe someone here can make it work.
