found this on sourceforge today. it is quite old 
and there is a java port already done, but it doesn't work and is somehow, hmm... gay? yes, let's say gay.
anyone may feel the power to try porting this thing? unbelievable, I got the rhymes today although I listened to rock and only to rock today... hmm... strange... <_<

iLeech will connect to an iTunes host, display their playlist, and allow you to copy the files to your local drive.
ahh that program sounds awsome, but i doubt a port would be possible as apple probaly fixed the 'bug' that allowed it to work. This is an example of open source failing...
I tried the java port, but as the author has promised it: bad quality port and most functions don't work. he was right... <_<
hmm... but it isn't a big thing capturing a stream, it is even possible capturing real media or windows media streams, so mp3 streams, of mp3, which actually wasn't designed for streaming, should be much more easier, or am I wrong?
maybe there are some issues about the speed (only 1:1 when streaming) but it should be possible.
