Does anybody know much about skinning winamp2 (Not#3). I wan't to use the main window of winamp2 as iTunes in compact. I need help with editing region information, ie: Rounding the edges until they look similar to compact mode...
It just needs to resemble the shape, then I can do the rest.
Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Look around for photoshop tutorials. There are plenty about.

nobski - Sounded like you didn't have a clue from your first post. Region editing is a *****. The best way I found was to download every winam2 skin creator you can find, and in amongst that lot there you should finda good visual editor. I used this ages ago but unfortunately I can't remember it's name. Good luck.
I did alot of playing and come up with something.
It's not very usefull though. It's just interesting...

nobski - When I created that skin I did the same thing to round it out to an iTunes shape, but the winshade mode and other fixed layout elements just killed it as a useable skin.
This is a shame because winamp2 is so close yet so far. That's why I use QCD. You could do what you want to do with QCD from scratch in a fraction of the time it would take you to fix winamp to make it look good enough and remain useable.
It's a big shame that there was never a winamp2.5 - same as winamp2 but with freeform skinning.

It's one of spidercrabs skins. I just modded the shape of it... It was just an experiment with region editing.
I just formatted my hardrive so I won't be able to upload it... Unless there is an aquaish unformat program. Lol.
I would be able to reproduce it if you are superduper keen. But my puter won't be in action for another week or more.

why is everyone so against winamp3. When it first came out, with its freedom skinning, i thought that for sure someone would have an itunes skin sooo fast, but none. And everywhere I hear it talked about most people dont like it. Is there a reason? I only used it for awhile so maybe i missed something but it seemed to be a good program?
No-body is against winamp 3. It's a great proggy.
It is too slow for my crappy puter.... So It's not really an option for me to use it. That simple.
Winamp 2 runs really well for me. Thats why it is in favour.
