T1 costs alot, on a webpage that has a T1 service in my local area, they ask you to call for pricing info... so, I think that gives me the idea that T1 costs alot...

Actually, it's more because the price isn't uniform. T1s usually cost a base fee plus a mileage cost. So, they can range anywhere from a couple hundred to thousands depending on how far you are from the other termination point, any LATA boundaries crossed, etc.
