Itunes Font Mod - Self Contained Exe

I have developed a new program. This program is called iTunes Font Mod. You may download it here...

http://runasoft.com/iTunes/iTunes_Font_Mod.cgi

^ Copy and paste in your browser URL bar ^

This program is under 300kb and it installs the Font Mod everyone here is so eager to get. Mostly everyone here is downloading a 9mb .exe file, but I mean come on, that is really not necessary. I've developed this program to modify the .exe and only the bytes that have changed. Essentially, working just like a crack would. This program is self contained and contains the Font files needed and installs them automatically if they are not present on your system.

If you need the VB6 Runtime Msvbvm60.dll get it here

Does this only work in a specific version. What's yours? Because I have the initial 4.1 version and it says that the file size is invalid or has already been patched.

I have version 4.1.1.54 which is the newest version of iTunes. If you have already added someone else's edited .exe and it is not the original .exe then you must delete the iTunes.exe file from your installation dir and run the iTunes setup and choose "Repair" and then go thru the installation, then run my program.. Ooh and yes, this program only works with the newest version 4.1.1.54

what is this 'itunes' font... the j, a, e, and a couple of others are a bit misplaced, i'm guessing its mostly because of the font size. I like the font, but some of the letters are a bit wacked. Looking forward to customizable font... is font size doable?

thanks evolution, good idea. :D

Hi, I just tried this and when I click on Install Font Mod I get the following error:

"There was an error installing the iTunes Font Mod, please ...

Function Name: cmdinstall_Click

75:Path/File access error"

Using XP Sp1, iTunes 4.1.1.

Make sure no instances of iTunes are running. Make sure that you have permission to write to the directory that my program resides in. Make sure that you have write access to to windows/Fonts folder.. thats the only reason you would get this error..

Hehe I'm bringing this topic back from the grave but could you update this to support v4.2?

Yeah I currently use yours, I just wanted to see how this one worked and more specifically if it lets you choose the font you want to use since your mod only uses a specified font.

EDIT: btw localhost is there any way to reshack the iTunes icon itself?

i understand....i don't think there is a way other than mine, which is hex editing...

there is a way to change the icons, all of them, but the new iccon MUST have exactly the same sizes as the original icon, or maybe less, but not more :/

so if you want 128x128 filetype icons, that's impossible...
