[help] What Affects This Trash Icon

can someone tell me what file this is under and if they know what # it is in reshacker? for some reason, mine got all foobed up...

thanks much

EDIT---is there a "master" list that says what each # is under common files such as system32, etc. so i don't have to go through each # to find it.

also, i know i'm being a big pain, but i haven't used this program much... can someone also tell me how to replace that icon once found?

shell32.dll, but i forget the number. i'll take a look.

edit: found this list, but i'm not sure how accurate it is. http://virtualplastic.net/msgboard/thread....rum=1&thread=48

thanks dreamz!!

ahh, too many icons! maybe someone knows.

#70653

well, i found the dialogue, #1011... but it shows OK here, i don't know why it's garbled when i use it to actually empty the trash.

#70655

hmm, not sure. did this just happen?

#70660

i did croka's installer, the most recent version i think is 5, about a week ago. i just noticed this today, though... but that's all i can think of that would have affected it. that's probably a "well duh, there's your answer" type of response. i don't think it was like this with his earlier release. maybe i'll just PM him and ask.

#70663

yeah, good idea.

it's weird because it looks perfectly fine in that shot. sorry i can't help you out more. hopefully you get a response. if it bothers you that much, you could try swapping out the icon with another one and see if it's better.

#70664

how do i do that, swap out the icon? like i said, i've never used this before.

btw, i did find this graphical picture of all the icons and their corresponding #.

I ran into this problem as well, but I solved it relatively painlessly by replacing all recycle bin icon groups with ones from pack's origonal shell32.dll. It's much easier than to do all the specific icons.

#70707

Johnny, is there a way that you can be alittle more specific as to what exectly you changed. I have the same graphical error on my system and would love to be able to fix it.

Thanks,

Since I didn't know exactly which icon was causing the problem I just replaced all the recycle bin icon groups. They are: 32, 33, 142, 143, 144, 161, 191, 192, 254, 16710, 16715, 16717, 16718, and 16721. If anyone needs them just PM me.

#70848

wookietv, replacing them shouldn't be hard. under action, choose replace icon. at least that's how i think it should be.
