Would it be possible to make the iChat AV Trillian Pro skin even more realistic? With the latest Panther skin, we know that we can make the ichat buddy window without scrollbars (one step closer to an exact replica). However the fonts are still lacking though...
So what I'm asking for is a mod of the available skin (great work danimator) with:
1 No scrollbars
2. LucidaMacBold fonts
Then the skin would be near flawless
no scroll bars in the buddy list is easy I can do that, as for the font I wish I could do that.

Yeah, I tried just manually changing all the fonts in the some of xml files (Preferences and Buddy I think), but they would either switch over for a lil bit, or not change at all...

I know this is iChat and not iChat AV but the files that need to be changed are the same.

Is that using LucidaMacBold? Sometimes it doesn't work out so well at small sizes. I have a LucidaMacBold font that was modded for MSshellDlg that might work. I cant remember where I got it, but I think it was from this forum.

Also, another nice mod would be changing the title bars on buddy windows to say "Instant Messages with %Buddy Name%" I think that was also posted on the forums somewhere, but that would definitely be the nicest touch.
what about replacing the font used int the skin with the font file you want to use just changing the name to what the skin expects... you know what i mean? thenstart tweaking sizes of title bars and so on to make it look good
The bubble on the systray icon looks a lil fat, and slightly messed up on the bottom. I too did that mod and found the only suitable ichat bubble that would fit on the systray was the one built into the new MSN Messenger Aqua Mod recently on the boards. I just swapped that one into the trillian.exe

you h ave to make suer you have no other groops and that all your contacts are grouped in the genral group then the my contacts wont show
I don't quite understand what youre taking about. The default group is called "My Contacts" and there is no where to move my buddies. I can move all my buddies into the "Root (No Group)" folder, but its still under the My Contacts tab and thus can be collapsed at the titlebar. I can't move them out of the My Contacts window or set them to be inside another Group except that one.
weird this is how i got rid of it.. have ou followed danimators readme instructions?
Thanks Seph, I don't know what was up with my trillian, so I just reinstalled it and followed danimators instructions and it worked like a charm.
I have finally managed reduce the spacing on the buddylist, im still trying to get the alignment completly sorted out but here is a SS of my progress thus far.
NOTE: I have also been working on trying to get the correct font to work in the buddy list, but at this stage its never going to look quite right no matter what I do, so until font AA in included into Trillians features, well just have to put up with crappy looking fonts in the buddy list, sorry.

i had the "my contacts" thing.. but its pretty easy to make it disappear.. i think its there first because its a default plug in.. so if you disable any other plug ins you have like "my stuff" it should disappear.. because there has to be a definition to where all the plug ins can be seen..
what kind of crack are you smoking that leads you to believe that iChat has no scroll bar?
and maybe you need to enable font smoothing because my skin looks fine with it's current font.
but hey, if you want something that isnt productive, by all means go ahead, just dont lead people tp believe that iChat has no scroll bar...that's just sillyness
