This came out right when Panther was announced (before it was called Panther).
Its nothing more than a Rumor, and doesn't actually exist yet.

Yeah, but what do you think? Would you have liked this feature or would it have been a waste?
This is kind of like the dock but with spring-loaded action.

Its a pretty good concept.
but you wouldnt really know wats underneath the top file. maybe theyd be grouped together by type or maybe just make the top file a folder, id love to see this be made, maybe in desktopX or maybe as a flash application or made like a seperate application like the dock is.

In an expansion to me previous post, and in an effort to seem more helpful(since most of you ignore my positive posts):
Piles was a concept for grouping similar documents.
It never panned out because it was not only buggy, but too much of a 'concept' to be mass marketed or fit into the scheme of Mac OS.
I tried to make something similar using DesktopX, but it never panned out

Mac doesn't really need it because they have spring-loading folders. That's what Windows needs.

Wow, I forgot about the piles rumor. Just goes to show that you shouldn't believe everything you hear. Thanks for the info, Duckie.
Ooooh, the flash preview looks and behaves very very cool. Functionality might be an issue, but wow, the eye-candy. At least it would be a nice option for users to play with at some point in the future.
