Hi everyone, just to drop a bit of reality here.
The fire in South Cal. has gotten worse now, and my prayers go to all the people living in Southern California, hope their homes are safe, and they are safe with their families.
Here is what gathered from news radion and TV station, and of course my own eyes. When I woke up yesterday morning (I live in Sorrento Valley, close to I-15), the sky was half-covered with black clouds, it was surreal and it was like end of the world. Then later on, ashes started to continuously fall from sky, this reminded me the city of Pompey.
As today the fire is not even close from being contained. Several schools have been closed (as far as I know UCSD, Mira Mesa High School, SDSU), and mayor urged people to stay home and asked employers to let employees not to go to work. The sky is still covered with smokes, no sun. Air condition is very poor, and ashes continuously to fall from sky. This morning when I walked to my car, my car was covered with ashes. Not much car on freeways, since most people stayed home, and monitor the fire situation, just in case they need to evacuated.
I hope we will get help from other states soon, since request has been made, and hopefully put this fire off soon. To other members that live in affected areas, I hope u are safe and please post any updates on any new developments, thanks!
