Glossy Gtk2/metacity/spinners Update

I've updated the Glossy theme that I first posted a few weeks ago.

Still have a lot to do, though. In addition to the gtk2 and metacity

themes I've included spinners for both galeon and for the gnome

icon theme.

The galeon spinner is in a file called glossy-spinner.tar.gz. To install

it, un-gzip it and then untar it. Move the resulting directory

(galeon-spinner/) to your galeon spinners directory (mine is

/usr/share/galeon/spinners). Then use gconf-editor to set the spinner

under apps->galeon->UI->toolbar->spinner_theme.

The icon-theme spinner is in a file called gnome-spinner.tar.gz. Un-gzip

and untar it and then put the two resulting files, gnome-spinner.png and

gnome-spinner-rest.png, in the 32x32/apps/ sub-directory of the icon theme

you want to use it with. For example, I use the Industrial icon theme to

cover icons I haven't already themed in the gtk2 theme. So I copied

the two files into /usr/share/icons/Industrial/32x32/apps.

There are a few changes in this version. For one, all the icons are now

defined in an iconrc file. If you want to use a different set of icons just

comment out the " include "iconrc" " line in the gtkrc file. Second, more

of the graphics have been tweaked.

I still have a lot of work to do on this, especially with documenting

the gtkrc file. Thanks to everyone for all of the useful feedback, as well.

Please let me know about any bugs, of which there are probably many, or

any things that should be changed or tweaked.

This looks great! I hope it looks as good on my computer as it does in your screen shots. Thanks for sharing it! :own:

BTW: Know where I can find themes for Firebird Linux (new) version?

I got it working and I must say it looks wonderful.
