I assume you already downloaded and installed iTunes.

You may not know it yet, but inside C:\Program Files\iPod\bin there is a surprize for you.

I have the iPod Service file in that directory, but there's no icon with the firewire logo inside =(.

I have the latest version of iTunes...was it only in the old one??
