Aqua-Soft ForumsI can not preview every single .ico icon files in my computer~~>_< I think it's because I set it to open with acdsee or something.....>< but even now I set it to open with windows image viewer or whatever programs....I just can't preview it.....only with Thumbnails view.....but...all icons image become small and crappy>_< please help me solve this problem....thank you.....

Ouch, really really Ouch, I had this problem a little while ago, but not due to ACDSee. For starter, if you haven't already doneso, then check your file associations, find the .ICO extension and see if the option to restore the default is available. If not, as far as I know, you will have to learn to live with this horrible problem. (One more note of gloom: manually re-associating .ICO to the default in Shell32 had no effect. :banging: ) I will be very interested to see if you can solve this problem, I hope you can!!!

The fist pic shows what it looks like when he sets the view to icons (if I'm not mistaken).
With this problem, all icons appear the same (in Icon view, Details view, and List view). Thumbnails view is the only way to see the icons, but look at how bad that is (see the second pic).
i had this program once with another program(can't remember which) and uninstalling the prog. fixed the problem... have you tried that?
know its a dumb suggestion, but just maybe..
there is no such thing as a dumb suggestion when talking about windows... we should know that hehehe...
It does make sense if it has taken over the extension, uninstalling should release them... right? give it a go is better than reformatting!
Open up ACDSee (5.0?) click Tools on top of the screen, next search for "File Associations..." look for ICO and untag it, reload your icon cache or do a restart and it should be fixed 
I've been having this problem every time I reinstall windows.

p.s. better than uninstalling, ACDSee is such a nice and usefull program :rule:
If you have IconPackager, try opening the program, and click on Setting. There's an option "Show icon files as icon images", which should be checked.

No kiddding, that's wonderful!!!! And such quick response time. So looks like for me it's time to install another icon soft. Sure this problem will happen again sometime.
