[help] Outlook Express

i recently manage to use my IE back again and started to use outlook express 6 once again. but my OE really takes a long time to load...

is it normal?

yes, very normal.

Why not use Thunderbird?

There are even Thunderbird Aqua skins made by Lynchknot.

Well for OE running on a XP platform, it is normal and used to suffer from it... However after updating/upgrading to SP1 the launch time for IE and OE had been reduced but still they will never launch fast as Notepad for an example.

So in short, i believe it is "Normal".

Mozilla Thunderbird is completly seperate, you don't need to use the browser (though you should).

I also have the same problem, but kept from switching to anything else but Outlook Express because I like how it intergrates into the Mail Docklet for the Yz Dock. Can you change the ini file to work with Thunderbird (to show how many new emails, etc)?

Is there a difference between POP3 and just POP mail servers? Because the one I want to set up is a POP3 mail server, and I checked out Thunderbird and it only has POP and IMAP mail server options...

#69288

same thing.

I use both POP3 and IMAP with it.
