About Desktop Icons

How could i make the desktop icons to move 2 the right of my hand ?

Automatic , not moving them from left 2 right ???

An app or a reg

Are you saying that you want Windows to automatically place the icons on the right hand side of the desktop when you start the computer?

here ya go (pretty simple though):

Right click the desktop>'untag' "Auto Arange" and if you want to go freestyle with the icons also 'untag' "align to grid"

if you want some bigger icons open up regedit (Start>Run>Regedit) and go to the next values (on XP):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop/Windowmetrics

and change this value:

Shell Icon size

128 will be 128x128pixels

(I recommend to not make it any larger unless you're using only the GANT and the Umicons packs on your desktop since most icons are 128x128px max )

I think more specifically: auto-align icons to the right of the desktop. So instead of icons ligning up on the left of the desktop (by default) they will lign up on the right automatically. Is there a registry tweak like this / an app that will do this?

I am sorry if i didn't get it right, but i think that is the point of this thread.

don't know any methods to move icons over your desktop next to just dragging them to the right, searching for a program would take longer than dragging

Is there any way to have 128x128 icons on the desktop, but not in the startmenu? Makes my menu look huge.

And I don't think there is any way to auto-align the icons to the right of the desktop.

actually i think there are some other programs, i can't think of them. but they would be similar.

holocaust, there isn't a way to do that without using 3rd party programs. if you really want to, get yourself a copy of windowsfx or samurize. with samurize, you can have extra large png files over the icons.

I have WindowsFX, but it will only do 48x48 if I am correct. Anyway to get it to do 128 on the desktop?

The Align Icons program doesnt work for me.

I installed it ok and it said in the readme that you should right click on the icon(s) you want to align and choose arrange icons by, but that option is not there. and when i just right click on the desktop like normal it has the arrange icons y menu still but the left, right, top, or bottom options are not there.

i dunno whats wrong
