[suggestion] Thread Titles

O.K., I'm noticing thread title that are not titled properly. Here's asuggestion that would only take a few lines to code.

Have a section on the page that has all the accepted headers (ex [poll], [release], [preview], etc.) And then have one selection that is "None Selected" that is the default. When you click the post topic button, it looks to see what option is selected, if the None Selected is selected, then the page returns an error. This way all thread are titled properly and the mods and admins are not going bezerk along with the members.

That is actually a very good idea!!! it could even be linked to the thread being posted in the right subcategory in a subforum. ie releases in MSStyle skins...

I made this thread a while ago and I got no response from the staff, negative or positive. So I was just wondering if you would like to do this because of the sudden increase of new people posting nowadays (Chicago is also a great musical)? If you don't know how to do this, I will be happy to help. It's just I can see the mods and admins, especialy contra, a huge purple vain poping out the their forehead and their face turing red becaus of how many times they have to put "Thread titles >.< ".

Please, I think this will be a worthwhile addition to the site.

I was thinking about this and I don't think it would have to change much. My idea.

Add a form thingie with the array of option buttons, or even a drop down menu. Have the default one value to be equal and others different. Have a javascript/php script run when you click the Post button that check to see if you picked a different subject. If it doesn't, kick you back, saving the info and resubmit. If so, add the respcting subject to the thread title. It will take a little tweaking because I do a thing of trial and error, but I don't think it will be that complicated. Sorry if I'm bothering you, but I love getting experience this way, and to get known.

BTW, thanks for trimming down the "Clickable Smilies" menu.
