[help] Screenshot

Is there a way when I use the screen shot feature, to not have it include in the picture mobydock? I take screenshots often, but I don't want them all to have the dock in the picture. Thanks!

If you want just a screenshot, without any Dock, then just turn the dock off and leave what you want on your desktop, then Press Alt and the Prt Scr buttons on your keyboard. Then just open your favorite image editor and Paste it.

Well atleast that is how I do it.

hi,

if you don't wanna see mobydock in the screenshot you have to disable 'capture layered windows' in the properties of the screenshot item.

I just press PrintScreen. I'm not sure what ALT-PrintScreen does, but I just tried it and it gave me nothing but black?

Alt + PrtScr takes a snapshot of your whole desktop. It puts it on the clipboard, untill you paste it somewhere.

This is just a general way of doing it.

Mody gave the instructions on how to do it to his Dock, but it works inprinciple the same way for the other Docks as well.

Thanks! That worked, Now here is another problem. Somehow I added a blank icon to my dock. See the picture, now I can't remove it.

Also, the Always on top button is checked, but for some reason, when I maximize some windows I cannot get to it. Any ideas?

hm !

1. edit the items.ini in dockconfig. remove the empty item and rearrange the item-numbers from 1...(number of items) !

2. if you have checked 'Always-On-Top' Mobydock will stay on top as long no other app has this feature / option too. disable it for that app.
