[info] Import Opera Hotlist Into Firebird

After searching around on Google I came across the blog of someone whom has figured out how to import Opera bookmarks into Firebird leaving the folder structure intact.

Ok, here's the dealie, yo:

1.) Dload in install Compass from http://www.softgauge.com/compass/ It's freeware

2.) Run Compass and select "File" and then "Import Wizard"

3.) The "Import Wizard" prompt will display asking for the browser type to import from

4.) Select the "Opera" tab and then check the "Import Opera Hotlist from the follow file" box and then locate the hotlist file which will be called "Opera*.adr"

5.) Click "Ok" and have Compass do its thing

6.) Once it is done wth the import function, one will see all of ones Opera hotlist folders in Compass' display

7.) On the left side will be a folder tree display. Select the very top folder, which will probably be named "Compass"

8.) Click "File" on the menu bar and then click "Export Selection"

9.) Click "Standard Format" and then a export location prompt will appear. By default Compass will choose "Data" under c:/program files/compass

10. Enter a name for the file one will be exporting to and then click "Save"

Firebird steps:

1.) Click "Bookmarks" then "Manage Bookmarks"

2.) The Bookmark Manager will then display

3.) Click "File" and then "Import"

4.) The "Import Bookmark file" Prompt will then display asking for the file to imported. Select the bookmark file exported from Compass and click "Open"

5.) Give Firebird a moment to do its thing and TaaDaa, Opera's hotlist has been imported into Firebird with folders and all
