Ah!! Of course you can! All display monitors are the same thing. Apple just happens to have a different connector. All you need is a mac to pc vga converter. Believe it or not, I am using an Apple monitor right now! My uncle used to work for Apple and he had an OLD apple monitor just sitting in his basement collecting dust. At the time I had a horrible 15-inch crt. This was a 21' trinitron tri-color apple display! Its kinda cool cause I have my pc in my desk case underneath, and there's just an apple monitor that is visible. The thing is huge by the way. Its kind of ironic though. I am trying to emulate a mac and I have an apple monitor and thats all you can see. Heck, all I need is an apple mouse and keyboard. (which actually I am trying to get, so dang expensive though) Its so easy to fool my friends though! LOL I dont even have to say anything and they think I got a Mac! lol But anyways this thing is old and it has a problem with the color tones flickering. I'm puttin up with it until I get a new monitor. If I had the money I'd get a studio display in a second but, I have to settle for a decent crt display. So, ya it will work theres no problem.
Oh there is one minor problem you may run into. PAIN IN THE A$$ to find the converter. After calling nearly every computer shop in the state, some place called "The Computer Guys" had it. Wow, was I lucky. They sent it to me for 8 bucks. Its not expensive, its just very hard to find. Also dont look in any major retail stores, they are not going to have it. Come to think of it these things have probably gone out of production, so look fast!! I'm glad I got one!

I have seen converters in the last part of the Macworld magazines before.
Regarding the converters... If a product exists you can find it quicker and usually cheaper on the internet.
Ya, I checked the internet. I wanted to be sure I knew what I was getting. The things I found on the internet were questionable. I'm sure MacWorld would have the right thing though.
The new "Cinema Displays" from Apple don't have a regular DVI-Connector. They use a connector named "ADC (Apple Display Connector" ...

If you want a "Studio Display" on your pc you can do it but you need to get an additional piece of hardware. (can't remember for the life of me what it is called but it costs about $150.00 US)
But figured you should know that it is possible as I have been told many times that you can't hook up a studio display to a PC
Ok, Heres what to do. Get an Apple display with an ADC connecter. Then go to the Apple store and if u got a DVI port
get a DVI to ADC converter and if u got a VGA port get a VGA to DVI converter and then get a DVI to ADC converter.

They make LCD displays that are actually nicer and less expensive than Apple's.
