in addition to a-s, there's neowin, twistedcpu, virtualplastic, quidne (it's a personal discussion board where my friends and i talk about philosophy, current events, society, personal experiences, religion, etc. it grew out of a discussion group that we had in middle school.), daily rotation (i have about 25 websites on there).
i'll also periodically check cnn, msnbc, pcworld, and extremetech.
i have a folder of "everyday" bookmarks in safari....all i do is click "open in tabs" and i got all my everyday links:
