iTunes 4.1.1 includes improved performance when using your iPod, addresses an incompatibility with Windows 2000 and older third-party CD burning software, and improves support for non-standard mp3 files. Also, the "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" preference is now turned off by default.

I looked at the encoding thing for importing and im not sure if it will import into aac format... It only has option for MP3, WAV and AIFF... hmm maybe I should restart my computer first...

Some other minor changes:
Better support for AutoPlay in XP.
Show Song File in the File menu (control-R) now selects the file in Windows Explorer on XP. It used to just open the enclosing folder.
iTunes continues to play music on fast user switches and when the screen saver exits to the logon dialog.
Columns autosize when the column divider is double-clicked.
You can change the volume using the mouse scroll wheel when the cursor is over the volume control.
Fixed incompatibility with Windows Internet Connection Sharing and iTunes sharing.
thanks for the info tobbz, but i doubt that my modem would like to redownload iTunes for the 3rd time (4.1 and 4.1.1) just for that

srry about that wasnt all there at the moment. k my itunes i have now which is the first released doesnt play mp3 files. i wanted to know if hte new one does ?

Huh??? The first release played mp3 files too...it has always played mp3 files.

In case some of you are not aware, they released 4.8 today...I'm not sure what the difference is though.
