Hey Guys and Gals,

I am fascinated with the Camino Interface before. But Im looking for a theme for Firebird that has a CAMINO Look....

There's an old, very very old Camino theme on texturizer.net/firebird. And icons are not exactly same as Camino. I thought of making a theme myself but I don't quite get their CSS skinning thing.

#66114

what does it look like? Got a screenshot?

#66158

Lynchknot, if you're thinking of making the theme, PM me, I've got the icons (well, most of it).

Screenshots here.

#66703

Oh, I remember that theme. Someone already made it. I'll go look for it.

*edit - I believe it was by Adam Brubaker - called Chimera. I made a post at a board he frequents.

#66707

i prefer the old aqua camino.

there is too many brushed apps right now. :(

#66708

It is an aqua skin - not brushed

Response from atomb:

yeah i have it lynch,  i'm going to work on updating it to work with the newest firebird.

#66717

you can get the "chimera" theme for firebird on the mozilla firebird themes site. this is it.

#66720

That page is not visible using current Firebird 7.

#66746

Hmmm.

hyperb0le created a clone of Camino for Windows. Unfortunately it is discontinued I think or no more in development....

So, what is that theme? is it Chimera?

#66804

Yes. Chimera is the former name of Camino :D

A port of camino for windows? I'd like to see that.

edit - looking a little more closely at some of those screenshots, it looks like the actual camino toolbars have alot more color depth than the chimera theme for firebird. Hope someone makes a new camino theme for firebird :D

#66816

I see what you are saying. I updated Phoenix Chimera to work in Firebird and the icons are not as sharp and the color (blue) is not as deep. Atomb said he used the original .tiffs out of Chimera so I don't know why - this can be fixed easily though. I love the throbber though - :)

Yes, hyperb0le release a clone of it.

@lynchknot - Where to download that one?

Not to be off topic lynch but could you update your safari theme to work on 0.7?

#67152

which one?

which one?

The full safari theme, i dunno the one u think would look best because they all don't work on 0.7

#67161

Actually make that the one that just skins the buttons and stuff so it looks good with all visual styles.

#67162

I just installed "icons only" SAF from my site, and there is nothing wrong with it. I'm using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031015 Firebird/0.7 (aebrahim)

chris123NT, if your using the old compact menu extension, it screws up using lynchknot's themes in 0.7. Remove the cm button, then apply his theme, if that's your problem. Then install the new version of cm, you can find it if you do a search in the firebird forums.

or you could go here

i'm just guessing that was your prob. :dr_evil:

#67196

So where to download the camino theme?

Hey Lynch,

This looks nice man, and the Camino throbber is great!

Is this updated theme, which works properely with your 0.7 10152003 (aebrahim) build at your website?

I too would like to try it, for I have the same FB build as you except it's the G6-SSE-optimized for Plll...

#67302

This is not my theme. It's Atomb's. He is working on updating it to work with 7.

#67306

Hey Lynch,

Thanks for your reply, and I completely understand, will patiently wait for him to update it to work with FB 0.7...
