Skins For Wmp??

Hello, I have been really impressed with all the skins that have been made for various media applications such as qcd player. The only problem is that I have to use windows media player. I have a wireless logitech keyboard, and it has media buttons on it. They will work with any media player but only while that player is active. If I want to use them like changing the track without mking the player unminimized first, I cant. So the only application that lets me control my media while the player is running in the background is WMP.

So here is my question. I was wondering if you guys could post any skins that you know of for WMP8 or 9

any itunes or ipod would be the greatest but i also know there are just some plain aqua ones out there that are pretty cool. Anyway please post away.

fellow2000 - I also have a Logitech KB and I use QCD without any problem. Uninstall the (crap) Logitech SW for the KB and you will find that the media keys work with QCD and most other media players. Logitech are a joke when it comes to media player supoport with their KB's. If you use the Logitech SW they decide which media players you can use based on a decision made in about 1995.

I'm just waiting for some decent WMP9 skins.. WMP9 actually made me switch from winamp3 because of its song sorting and directory watching capabilities but I find 90% of the skins for WMP are bulky and annoying.. the rest dont have support for WMP9 features.

Ya I know that it works with qcd but it only works at certain times. The applications has to be active or at least still in the windows enviornment.

I like wmp because i can like be playing a game online and still be able to control my media. Logitech keyboards unfortunately will not do this with qcd or winamp

let me know if you see differently on yours. That is bfore the software too, after you install the logitech software, it only works when you have qcd selected and actually showing as your top window on the screen. Kinda retarded. Anyway please respond.

fellow2000 - You are right about the Logitech KB and running other applications.

You might want to do a search or post your question over at the QCD forums because I know that the creator of QCD also has a Logicrap KB.

To everyone else - forget Logitech keyboards and their so called multimedia buttons.

Woah, some of those are absolutely BRUTAL. They've got light and dark shades everywhere and that makes the colours not match. Plus the buttons are U-G-L-Y.

fellow2000 - You could try this:

"In the players.ini file in the Logitech/iTouch folder add:

QCDPlayer=key,qcdplayer.exe,PlayerCanvas,xxx,xxx,Y,T,R,W,E,0,1,QCD Player

You may need to reboot for it to take effect."

This may allow you to use QCD in the way you want.

I'm currently making a WMP skin of the main iTunes display. Recently I've become stalled though since I'm reaching the limits of my WMP skinning abilities, and still have a few things left to finish. Until I can find a Javascript/WMP skinning guru that's willing to help me finish it, I won't release it.
