[help] The Best >free< Website Host

i was wondering about what the best website creator was if i wanted to do everything for free. i was using geocities but it was unreliable. Anybody know of some?

Try fateback. They won't create your site for you, but you can upload everything via FTP and from the online file-browser.

No ads, unlimited bandwidth, 60mb, only limitations are the reduced file size you can upload at once, and no image hotlinking.

Yeah! If you really want to boost your ego use Notepad and actually learn the language (or markup language). Otherwise, I like AceHTML. There is a freeware (the link), or you can buy a pro version ($50.00). It's not a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), just coding software, but very useful and helpful if you want to learn the language.

I allways use Notepad for HTML. And for PHP to. For me its the easiest way to make a new html-page. No need for a generator here :smartass:

You could use Frontpage. It is not so very good or advanced, but it is the only one that is in my mind right now, except for Dreamweaver of course

Dreamweaver, in my opinion is the best choice...

It may not be free, but it is very nice. I use it to build 4 sites as of now.

'Tis a very useful tool, give it a try...do they have a trial? I think so, but not sure...

What Flarex was implying to create web pages from flash. It's mostly used for graphic designers and you have to be very creative to get it to look even semi-decent. You can create web-pages using flash, it was just a smart-a$$ comment. I enjoyed it

the best thing in my opinion is to know html and be able to code using just notepad but once ur past that stage I would suggest using mozilla's composer.
