Windows Xp Sp2

"A Microsoft executive has said the company will launch Service Pack 2 for Windows XP in December, months earlier than the company forecast on its Service Pack roadmap.

[...]

Security is now the number one priority for Microsoft and that will be demonstrated with SP2, he said, revealing that the update will contain enhanced memory protection in an attempt to reduce the operating system's vulnerability to buffer overflow exploits."

Now the question is, how many of us are going to get it?

a. Immediatly.

b. After I hear there is no problems or bugs.

c. Never

d. When everything to Aquafy it is compatible with it.

My Choice c, still haven't got SP1.

How much do you want to bet this is not going to get nearly as much hype as iTunes for Window$

#65485

my answer would also be c

as far as security is concerned

i update and scan my computer everyday and i have firewall setup

hopefully that'll be enough

I'll update to SP2 when there are modified Aqua versions of it. (And why are some people so suspicious of service packs..?)

My answer would be C - it won't work with Windows Server 2003 ;)

If, however, I were still on XP, I'd upgrade straight away...

"How much do you want to bet this is not going to get nearly as much hype as iTunes for Window$"

That may be the case on A-S, but elsewhere, iTunes/Win may get much less publicity than SP2...

I'll stick it straight in and aquify it myself.

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast. :P

My answer is C, newer, because I got Windows 2000.

But what about an option like: "Before it is released"? :P

I think my answer is C.

I already have SP1 and I AM already satisfied.... Period.....
