The G5 1.6ghz Model

Very soon I'm going to be ordering £3k worth of Apple stuff and after alot of thought I've decided to go with a G5 1.6GHz (read sig for details (my sister, a student, is ordering it me for the discount )), but I'm worried it isn't going to be the big guy on the block speed wise. Has anyone tested one? Are they really so fast?

Oh as a note, I'm a graphical designer and hope to use the new Powermac to jump the gap from part to full-time work (usually meaning I'm using a few hefty applications at once).

go with the 1.8. besides the speed, you get a whole lot more (like twice the hard drive space).

If I was to get a 1.8, I wouldn't be able to afford an iSight or iPod with it.. Plus I'm not going to ever have an extra £6,000 to spend on having more than 4GB of RAM. (And I'm not too bothered about having lowish (80GB isn't low, 4GB is) space)
