Help, Taskbar Not Showing

When i used to maximise a window the windows taskbar would still show. Now when i maximise a window, the window fills the whole screen. Im unshure at what point this started happening or what i might have installed durring the period;, its kinda cool, but pisses me off at the same time. Does anyone have any insight into why this is happening, or a way to fix it?

try this:

right-click on the taskbar, select "properties", and mark the option "keep the taskbar on top of other windows". click "apply" and "ok".

That should fix it.
