Meh!!! WHAT DOES THE SMALL WHITE TEXT SAY!!!

I want it now!!! My iBaby needs it!

I still have my fear that this is not iTunes, only a program that will allow Window$ users to download the music. Can someone still convince that I'm wrong. Is "iTunes" now officially considered to be named "iTunes Music Store?"

guys iTunes Music Store is an integral part of iTunes! ;)

If u don`t have iTunes, you don`t hv iTMS ;)

#63558

The Open Source guys will come up with a hack in a week.

Hell, Linux can already read/write to Windows AND mac iPods.

#63566

hey contra i`ve got 2 Qs for u:

1: aren`t u the toughest guy on AS when digital rights r in question and yet u talk about a hack? ;) :6

2: what hack would we need? Apple will give winTunes for free in order to push iTMS for Win (that`s going to be hard :lol::lol: , my baby Pod is waiting to be fed and that crap that Napster and other "shops" sell ain`t good enough for my baby  )

#63570

I meant a "hack" so LINUX users could use it. ;)

It may run in WINE though, who knows.

And you confuse the word "hack". "Hacking" is not illegal. I am a hacker, and in fact, everyone on this website is. We "hack" our system files. ;)

And I will convert all the AAC files I download from iTunes into FLAC though. I dont like DRM, and im not going to be pirating them.

#63574

Just a note: I have graduated to a VIRGIN.

Take that Taha. :baby:

#63575

this is the full version of iTunes that Mac's have right?

I mean it's not a stripped down version that only lets you play music you download or something dumb like that...?

#63579

We don't really know.

But then again, iTunes really isnt THAT full featured. I mean, I assume winTunes will play music.

#63586

we won`t know untill it`s released but i guess tapple can`t afford to release a half-as$ product

#63591

I only says "Windows version of the iTunes Music Store". It doesn't say if it will be using the new iTunes App or if the guys at MusicMatch Jukebox made the mods to suit the music store.

can't be.. musicmatch has it's own competing music store.

pple dont get your hopes up.... unless you use quicktime as your default video player.

October 16th is my birthday!!! What a birthday present that will be assuming its true.

Josh

#63713

now now, let's not get too excited, don't want to set your hopes too high just to have a quicktime-like app. ;)

#63765

I really hope that this is the full McCoy and not a stripped down iTunes like application. The more I think about it however, I can't believe that this will be the iTunes we all know. My making it look and behave like the real OSX product is a kind of admission that windows can run good looking and easy to use applications. I bet it will be "iTunes like" but with XP telly tubby graphics.

#63772

hey dudes don`t ditch iTunes `till u`ve tried it! <_

#63782

iTunes is a great program on MAC so it Quicktime. But, look at Quicktime on Windows. It lost all fineness. The track record for Apple apps on Windows is not that great. It's like saying, "don't knock the new Windows OS until you tried it."

personally, I don't care about the Apple music store now as I'm already subscribed to the Musicmatch one. Although I'm not a huge musicmatch fan, it does allow artist on demand playing and lots of good quality radio channels, which you can skip through and bypass songs you don't like. Pretty cool setup really. can't imagine Apple's version will have any advantage over musicmatch unless you have an i-pod, so I doubt I'll be changing anytime soon.

Apple should have done this earlier because soon there will be about 7 or 8 music stores online. Unless Apple offers something really exceptional I don't see them cleaning up like they want. I think they'll do pretty well though. I still have my doubts about the itunes player making it to windows in one piece, if at all, as it is on the mac. We'll just have to wait and see. :canadian:

[off topic]

I think AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH would be much better.

ok lets stop bashing what's not yet released. Im sorry to have started it.

we can all bash it after the release. ;) that is IF it is just like quicktime or simply a music store explorer.
