Bliss is the wallpaper in Windows XP, you really didn't have to wait for Panther to get the Bliss wallpaper in OSX. Seriously, it's a bitmap for crying out loud! Anyway, is Bliss going to be a wallpaper released with OSX? You would think that M$ would have copyright issues with that.

I hope you realize that none of the following was real. All was written to exploit the use of "Bliss" used in the previous post and mock M$ for being the money hungry, dongle sniffing, pipe blowing, evil bastard sword that they are. And to make all you people (if that's who you really are) have grief and question my sanity, or lack thereof.

Anywho, I can't wait for the release! Even though I don't have a Mac, or plan to steal one in the near future, it's still exciting. :woot: More of a reason to go to a nudie bar :boob shake: . Ahh, probly not.

Can we keep the Microsoft-bashing to a minimum please.

True, but sometimes it is music to my ears.

Music sometimes can only utilize one's satisfaction.

But then we are not elitists. Instead of bashing MS :puke: , please continue praising Apple®

Wizard, are you drunk?

The sad part is, no.

Actually, I've never been drunk in my life. I drank alcohol a dozen times, but never got even a buzz. :wine party:

#63458

man you really are a wizard then or youre just not drinking enough!! am i right guys?! ahahhahaha

Sorry to be offtopic! :staffs here:

Btw, i can smell a talented artist using those counter numbers to do some kind of samurize clock or something (if not, it better be a suggestion guys!)

Cheers

I am running the Master Gold Panther-7b75 internal build, which is 99% equivalent to the soon to be retail version, and all I can say is WASTE OF $129!!!!!!! The additional features are so minor and mostly unessacary embelishments, yes Expose and Fast User Switching is nice, but not $129 nice. This should be like a service pack or something, there is absolutely no change in interface etc. Unlike OS 9.22- X and X to 10.2, there are no significant changes, and especially no speed change, and all they hype is about nothing, don't buy this crap, I'll give it to you if you really want it so badly.    PS: I'm sure other panther users, and "senior" (here for a long time) members of this board will agree, don't waste your money, and time upgrading, stick to Jaguar (or PM me, after its released).

#63565

nrzero: Dont talk about pirating. I know for a fact you are not a "developer".

You've been warned. :staffs here:

#63576

LOL, Contrasutra the piracy police, using a non-commercial version of a program is not illegal :6 :6 :6 But my question is do you agree about what I said about the uselessness of this OS upgrade???:blink:

#63584

Silly kid, EVERYTHING is illegal.

On your question: No, I think its a great upgrade.

You get:

1. New UI (I think its better)

2. Guaranteed security/bug updates

3. Really nice under-the-hood changes, and a FreeBSD 5.x sync

Most people have jobs, and $129 isnt a HUGE deal. (And all mac owners are millionaires )

i agree, from what i have seen, i think i may like the new finder and its layout.

and panther is supposed to be a helluva lot faster and stuff like that :D

im not a millionare, just a thousandare....maybe...........

but im thinking i might sell my TiBook and spend a few hundred dollars and get a new AluBook with panther installed...ive had my eye on that AluBook for a little while

Okay, so now Contrasutra is talking because he's a big old mOD with 3000 posts to his account,:lol::rolleyes: one question have you ever actually usd Panther???? And by the way I used to be a multi-thousandare, and after the Powerbook, I'm a $800ier. (You already know my views about paying for software).

#63611

No speed increase? You don't know what you are taking about. I'm using a much newer build than that on my pbook.

:D

Panther is definately worth the upgrade.

Maybe apple should have labeled it OS 11 but then they would have lost the "X" moniker. Panther has a 7.0 kernel version compared to Jaguar 6.x kernel.

#63616

nrzero: You asked peoples opinions, so I gave mine. Im sorry?

And leave the mod bashing to Godpunk.

No, I haven't used Panther. I dont have a mac. <_<

And I DO know your views on paying for software, which is why I decided to cut this one off quickly.

#63618

LOL, I knew you didn't have a mac, that's why I asked :lol::lol:
