Yes ,but only slower.In samurize you can't refresh script

faster then 1 sec ,so that's the limit for ticker.

I was trying to change values :

Interval=1

IntervalSeconds=1

in config file but no luck.

Let me know if someone figure out how to speed up refreshing script.

You can get it from samurize.com and place it in scripts folder.

but I think you will need permission from Judge cause I asked him

permission for foobar2000 release only.

Ticker is mine and can be easily modified to scroll any text file so use it

whatever you like just as long as you give me credit.

thanks again crni, everything works great except i'm having one problem and don't know what i'm doing wrong:

when i double click 'below the volume' to change from extended mode to compact mode, c.m. opens but ext. mode does not close. Going from compact to extended works fine though(compact closes itself). What am I doing wrong? :dr_evil:

Not a big deal, since i'll probably not slide it, just wanted to figure it out.

oh gotta say, the digi fonts are the best i've seen on samurize, i guess you need squared fonts to look good on sam. And the big ticker's gonna be my new news ticker. I've been looking to replace bbc news ticker(hasn't changed skin since 97!) for ages, and this is it. Thanks, thanks, thanks.

hey bugs, you need samurize and foobar to use it, though you could set it up for winamp instead of foobar. Once you get samurize and foobar, and install them....

go to samurize, and look for the zip in the downloads section(just look for crni as the author, it'll be near the top of the list).

Download it, the last time i looked the zip was packaged a bit weird, but:

move configs from the zip to configs folder in samurize, scripts to scripts folder, etc.

there's a readme included that'll help you with setting up the samurize part of it.

there's also a readme included that will help you set up the foobar settings(along with 3 jpg files that show you exactly what you want in foobar).

I tried to get it to work, but that's not easy .

I'm working since 4 hours and now i see following text in the ticker (a song is playing):

"a new line, and also that the quit string doesn[sYNTAX ERROR IN FORMATTING STRING]and "

That's it.

Could somebody tell me what to do now?

I d/l the file from samurize, but could not find the read me any where. Also the config makes reference to setvol.exe, where can I find this. Can you send me the read me.
