Replacing Ie/explorer Toolbar Icons

Iceman, can you tell me which system files should I look into to replace IE/Explorer toolbar icons? I'm using reshacker. what size of icons should i use to replace them? is it possible to make them bigger (not using any 3rd party progs)

There are four BMP's (all located in shell32.dll) that you must change:

204 and 205 (mainly used in the shell)

The second one is an exact copy, just changing the color of the icons for the "mouse over" state.

214 and 215 (for Internet Explorer)

The same with the second one.

And no, there is no way to change the size of this icons (it must be 24x24 pixels) here. Perhaps in the theme...

Also, you should to use 32b BMP's (32 bits, with alpha channel support).

I got it. The background of the image is black. Is it will represent the black colour as transparent?

I just want to replace a few icons such as the refresh, email, full screen and search buttons, much like Goku did with his Yz Toolbar's theme.

and what you did by changing colour of the second image? hope you can help as much as u can

Mmmm... no, the blak background is because the program that are you using to see the image doesn't have alpha support. I recommend you the use of Gif Movie Gear, and a great tip is this:

There you'll find all the information needed. The second image (the change color) is a level down adjustement in Photoshop.
