help you guys... i just re-installed xp on a machine, got all of my software re-installed and now try to get my weather script going again... all of a sudden, i'm getting these odd lines cutting through it whenever a window, dialogue, or anything go over it. anyone know what's causing this? didn't do it before i reformatted my hd.

Did you try to open the file with 'Edit ConfigFiles', and see if those odd lines are there, if so, try to highlight the line area, and delete it.
they're not... i just created this one because my original one had them too. i thought somehow the original one somehow got corrupted, etc. it looks fine until i open a menu or program that overlaps it.
I had a similar problem, turned out to be my graphics drivers. At the time I was using a nVidia Geforce2 MX card and once I upgraded the drivers everything was OK

i'm at work now, but i'll try that later on... thanks for the suggestion, i have a Nvidia too... i just reinstalled xp, so i haven't had a chance to upgrade my drivers yet. Hopefully that's what will do it.

My Nvidia drivers (yes, the latest ones) did something weird to my computer and now it wont shut down unless I press the reset button.
