[help] How To Decompress This Files ?

Hi all,

Could anyone tell how can i decompress this to kind of files .dmg and .icontainer , plz ? i use Stuff It but he cant handle them.

From what I've heard .dmg files are completely incompatable with Windows and the only way to use them is to convert them to .iso on some OS X 10.1+ cd-rom burning software and then use the disc given.

Digging up this old thread, I was wondering if a few kind souls with a Mac could help me decompress a bunch of .dmg files from a specific site. There are quite a number of nice wallpapers in there and I'd love to have them on my lappy. Thanks!

For dmg files....

Well...if this is a help at all...3-4 months ago I came across some web page where guy explaned how to do this without Mac..it's possible! But (always but), kill me if I know where I saw that (I'm 100% sure that this is it, but don't know where)

I think that it was some board as well...maybe if someone wants so search and find this tutorial... I know it's not easy, but at least now you know that it can be done...

Anyway form what I remember...you take .dmg and ther use some option/burn format in Nero to burn it on disc (maybe that HSA format or something like that...which is for both disc readable on both Win and Mac file systems...or ????)

Then it's supposed to be readable into something (? sorry) so you can convert it...

I managed to rename some konfab dmgs to zip and open them in windows. I know how it sounds, but I assure you it's true. Apart of that dmg2iso isn't that bad. So far it works for me

OK, maybe this is a bit off.... but you could do this (and this is really twisting the lemon!): Run PearPC, download and unpack your DMG's, transfer your files to a free webhost/your own host, etc. and download it in your PC environment.

This reguires a lot of time and patience... but it works
