im trying to capture my cable tv with my winfast tv 2000 xp.
i scan for the channels and they do show up, all of them but they are discoloured, the picture is clear but the its just the colour.
how can i get a good reception ?
and yes i do pay for a subscription to my cable company.
i live in australia, and my cable company is optus, just incase you need a bit more info.
Hi xfodder, I capture cable TV with a Matrox e450 TV card. Haven't had a problem at all other than being careful not to drop frames.
How is your cable reception on the TV? If your TV is fine, test the cable and connection running to your card. If that's fine the problem must be in the card.
I assume your using the card's built in tuner. I used to do that also, which worked fine, but now I have a cable box descrambler from the cable company which I pay extra for so I can get premium channels. The card tuner I just leave on channel 3 now, and change stations using the cable box.
yeah im using it straight from the tuner atm, i can get perfect recetion if i use the box but i just wanted to be able to use the remote that came with the card, o well looks like i cant
