Mac OS X 10.3 Panther hits Gold Master status
Mac OS X 10.3, aka 'Panther', is ready for primetime, Apple has declared, according to a variety of sources cited by a range of Mac-oriented web sites.
The latest build of the operating system has been signed off as Gold Master - in other words, it's ready for mass duplication and thus shipment to customers.

There seems to be some questioning about this issue in this thread.

I tend to agree that it is unlikely given the problems with features in 7B74.

I thought they were upto 7B80+?

Yes, it is true. I visit multiple mac rumors sites every day, and it has been CONFIRMED that Panther build 7B85 has been declared Golden Master!

In under two months.. I'm getting a Dual 2.0GHz one with 2GB of ram and a new 15" studio display.. Yum!

Glad to hear it's been confirmed, I've been hearing Panther is very speedy indeed.
