Well the topic was self ecxplanatory, the spoolsv.exe is using up 99% of CPU and therefore slowing my pc like hell!!!
I havent sent anything to print, ive restarted the computer same sh##, i have to go to tasmanager and kill hte app...
ANy clues?!

Man, sounds like you've got MS Windows FWYM edition... (F with your mind).
What software are you running, and what hardware do you have connected to your computer?
Have you tried MS's technical support options? I've had a couple windows problems and gone online chatting with MS tech reps and they've helped me every time... or do you have an illegal WinXP?
If you don't print often, or at all. Just kill the service, set it to startup: disabled in the service manager.
I believe it's the Print Spooler service. You could always turn it back on when you need to print. Or create a nice batch file to start/stop it when need be.
Make a batch file to run 'net start print spooler', which should start the service back up, print, then run another batch file net stop print spooler, to end it once your printing completes.

ok, i looked for those registry keys and i couldnt find em anywhere...

Here's a tip from google groups:
start->Run devmgmt.mscclick the + sign next to Ports(COM & LPT).
select the printer port, e.g. ECP Printer Port (LPT1).
Port Settings tab
check the 'Enable legacy Plug and Play detection'
Who knows? It might work....

God, this guy really sseems to have my same problem, except i do have my printer installed... i just used it yesterday!
And yeah, hes title sounds like he SHOULD know a bit... hehehe...

Yeah, I had this problem too.
What I did was uninstall the "MS Image Driver" printer and my HP printer, and then reinstalled them.
Then all worked well.
where can i find this ms image driver? what is this driver for!?
