I am trying to extract the icons from System 6. I have an old program that can convert icons from older MacOS's into Windows format, but I am unable to figure out where the System 6 icons are actually stored.
Where are System 6's icons?

I don't think the are stored in a certain location. The only way would be to to load system 6 and copy them.
Good luck! :boob shake:
Try using a Emulator (I recommend Basilisk II) and install System 6 on a HFV Mounted drive and then just take snapshots. Then cut out the icons. ![]()

Sorry about that, I should have been more descriptive. I am using Basilisk II and HFV explorer ![]()
Update: Wow, it turns out that HFV explorer isteslf can actually extract some icons, and it saves them as .ico files!
On top of that, I have found another free Windows program that can open/view/extract icons from many different Mac file types. (The Mac files have to be transfered to a Windows logical drive first). Some of these Mac files contain many icons, and appear to be icon libraries (the 'System' file is, at least): http://users.pandora.be/liontech/Downloads.htm
