Thanks everyone. The Metal skin that comes with Opera is horribly incorrect, and not in a good way. Being that I use a Mac and just resently started messing with my windows desktop I just knew there had to be some better skins out there.

I had googled up the readme for this skin, but there was really no way to navigate the site to find the skin itself.

Hey, has anyone gotten these skins to work?

I began a thread in Opera about them and only one person has been able to get them running. The thread is here:

http://my.opera.com/forums/showthread.php?...=&postid=321064

If anyone has an actual fix for running these skins on an Opera 7.0 or higher Windows musheen, that would be super-cool :woot:

Also, some people on that thread seem to think I compiled / remixed / made these skins myself.... silly people.

ive been using them since thye were released and it has never made opera unstable, ive used opera 7, 7.1 and now 7.20, not a problem!

those linked opera skinz are still buggy, but i got a working brushed safari skin from a kindly aqua-soft samaritan. i'll try posting the skin at opera if there's interest.

p.s. love this place.

I cant get any of these to work, Opera just closes. I even downloaded 7.10 and 7.00 and tried to use that. :(

I have a couple brushed skins but they all have really ugly tabs. The safa skin has nice looking tabs, it would just take 30 seconds to make them took like real Safari tabs (x)

Hello, first post here <_<

I've tried to use these skins but Opera crashed every time, so I inspected the skin.ini inside the skin zip.

In the section [Dialog Page Skin] the last rows are like this:

Text Color = #000000

= 90

So I removed that last line ( = 90), resaved the zip and from then on Opera acepted the skin without problems. All the skins have that line, so remove it and see if it works for you.

Hope that helps.
