SmartFTP is excellent in my opinion, very simple and powerful interface, and free to use-check it out.

I have tried WS_FTP, Smart FTP, and CuteFTP. I prefer Smart FTP out of the three. It's got a nice, easy to use, and easy to understand GUI and has all the options that I need.

I also use SmartFTP, but I've heard that FlashFXP is also a very good program.

I didn't like FlashFXP at all, besides the fact that it's not free, I haven't seen any option to browse multiple FTP sites at the same time, which is very useful when looking for 0-day *cough* educational software :rolleyes:

Might want to look at LeechFTP. Just has problems with files > 3 GB (or 4??).

The #1 requirement would be resuming up/downloads I guess?

What I like about bpftp is that you have an up/down queue where you can set all the tasks you want to do and then just click "go" and let it do the work... but it is very anti-aqua looking

Oh, so you actually want an FTP Server, not an FTP client...Serv-U FTP is my choice, making an ftp doesn't get any easier than this

GillBates, SmartFTP has a queue feature as well. You might need to enable the pane which shows the queueing order though. For drag&drop enqueuing you'd need to right-click and select Queue instead of Transfer.

Well SmartFTP, CuteFTP and BPFTP are ok... but you can't beat this with a stick!

Hi

I'd tried many FTP Clients freeware/shareware and i liked Bullet Proof FTP Client the most and it's one of my favorite applications.

It powerpoint imo is the design as it's neat, simple and capable, it's not bloated in any manner as CuteFTP and other bloated FTP Clients.

You have to try it your self to see what i mean, go check out it's options panel for instance to see how sorted, compact and simple it is.

As for GUI well... it suffers like the rest of the apps built with Windows platform in mind so don't expect OS X Panic's Transmit or FTPeel.

Note that it doesn't support FXPing however it's a function that i don't use.
