It sounds like a virus to me.. The same thing happend to me, I did re-format. you should be able to export your mail to a file and open it when you do re-format.

Maybe you could get in the recovery consol of Windows Xp and find all files with a .pst(i think) extention and copy them to a floppy.

Good luck

The most likely location for Outlook.pst, assuming you haven't changed the ProfileDir when you installed is,

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

#59864

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\OutlookHotmail (1)-00000004.pst

Well sh##

I think I had the solution

Did you happen to use a cracked version of Restorator recently?

#59890

Whoa, Duckie is back! :o

You could have also used KNOPPIX to backup your data if Windows got messed up. I suggest that when you get everything running again, you burn a copy of it, because you may not be so lucky next time. ;)
