[help] Get Rid Of The "file Edit View Etc Menu"

I have a really good objectbar that I think (xero) made and it actually puts the file edit view etc commands on the bar the top bar instead of the application like outlook express internet explorer etc..so it would resemble the mac interface even more so..It look and works really well but I've run into a problem which I was wondering if anyone has over come...obvisouly I don't want to have 2 file edit view etc meanus on on top and one in the application istelf so what I did was move the other bar in the app on top of the "file edit view etc" but it still shows up on the very right and there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of it. Does anyone know of a program like yz's tool bar that will fix this problem..I'm refering to the fact that yz tool bar you can hide the little flag in the top right hand corner of ie and and explorer..So does anyone know of a program that and hide that "file edit view" etc menu?

Heres a screen shot I took so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thanks in advance for any help...And let me know if you guys have run into the same probme and how you fixed it thanks,

Adam

ObjectBar can do it, scour around in the options (sorry I cant tell you the exact place, I dont have it).

I don't think you can do it with objectbar program itself because it only modiesfies the sart bar not not any menus or bar within other programs I think...correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes in that thread you gave me is good for getting explorer to look more like the mac but I don't want to lose that much funtionality of explorer...Also on a side note: you should try obect bar its cool..Like in my pic you can see that if your in internet explorer or outlook express it it displays it in the top bar just like mac os x does..I haven't found anyother program that does it ...it's pretty neat

Keep the ideas comming...thanks guys

@adambrums79: Dont spaek about u dont know :P

ObjectBar is the best and almost the only way to remove the "File, edit, etc" menu.

Just open ObjectBar Properties, go to File, General Options and select "Hide menus of applications when a replacable section is available" or something like that. :goku's job:

actually, you don't lose functionality (that's only if you apply the bitmap to the toolbar, which you don't have to do). you can just move the file, edit, etc. so that it's hidden, like in the pic.

and i'm not going for the complete mac look, which is why i don't use objectbar. i have my own (albeit weird) style. :D

You need to have the paid up version of objectbar to hide the file menu. The freebie demo won't do it.

contrasutra & OSX

You were right I did what you said and yes it will hide that whole bar which is really cool...it make it feel so much more like the mac when the menu is in the mac bar at the top instead of in the program...thanks again:)

Unless you are going to use ObjectBar, removing those menus is pretty dumb. They are a needed part of almost all apps and unless you are going to have them available in another way (such as in the Objectbar) you are going to lose a lot of functionality in your apps.
